Images created in Photoshop are saved by default .PSD format .PSD is an extension of Photoshop whose full name is Photoshop document but we can save the file created in Photoshop in any file format like - GIF, IMG, PNG, JPG, WPG, tiff, EPS.

EPS file format

PNG file format

Lossless image compression means that they do not lose their quality during editing. PNG has many transparency options. PNG-24 and PNG-32 support transparency, it is more advanced than GIF.
